What Is The Jupiter Jack? (JupiterJack)

The Jupiter Jack is a new one-of-a-kind hands free set that helps people to safely drive and talk on their cell phone at the same time. The technology behind the Jupiter Jack has been around for a long time but it has not been available to use with a cell phone until now. The Jupiter Jack is a simple FM transmitter but it is specifically designed to be compatible with cell phones. FM transmitters are most commonly used with Ipods or MP3 players when somebody wants to broadcast their music player over their car speakers. The Jupiter Jack is used in the same way except for with phone calls instead of music. In simple terms this means that when you are using the Jupiter Jack and speaking with someone on your cell phone everything they say will be heard loud and clear through your car speaker system.

Use of the Jupiter Jack may sound complicated but it is quite easy. In fact I'm sure that it's simple enough that most children could figure it out. All you have to do is hook the Jupiter Jack up to your cell phone and then tune your radio the same station that the Jupiter Jack is set too. Then just wait for a phone call. Once someone calls answer your phone and turn you radio on and you are ready to begin a safe hands free phone conversation while driving. You can even listen to a different radio station while not in the middle of a phone call and simple change the station to the frequency your Jupiter Jack is set to when someone calls. Unlike with bluetooth or wired headsets with the Jupiter Jack there is no earpiece to mess with and try to get comfortably positioned on your ear. This allows for safer driving because you are ready to go with just the push of a button. The Jupiter Jack also comes with a dashboard mount that allows you to mount it and your cell phone for even easier access while driving.

The Jupiter Jack doesn't use revolutionary technology but is a revolutionary idea that is sure to help make the roads safer.

Jupiter Jack Shipping & Handling Charges

If you are interested in getting the Jupiter Jack it is important that you take a close look at their website before you make your purchase in order to understand the fees that you will be charged. Jupiter Jack clearly states what charges you will incur but they do not give you a total price until after you make your purchase.

The key here is to be sure that you realize that they charge a $6.99 shipping and handling fee for each item you either purchase or get for free. This means that if you purchase 1 Jupiter Jack but accept the free 2nd Jupiter Jack along with 2 free dashboard mounts you will be charged $6.99 x 4. This isn't necessarily a rip off or a scam. People will say it is a scam but it simply is not because they clearly state on their website that each extra item, free or paid for, will include a separate shipping and handling fee.

It is up to each individual person to decide whether they feel the product is worth the total price or not. If not then don't make the purchase, if so then go for it. Just don't come crying in the comments sections and say Jupiter Jack is running a scam when your impatience kept you from taking the time to read their website and understand how much you were being charged.

Jupiter Jack Offers Special Buy 1 Get 1 Free For a Limited Time

Another quick note to let you all know that Jupiter Jack has changed their special offer from a free dashboard mount to a buy 1 Jupiter Jack get 1 free offer. If you are interested in the Jupiter Jack this would be one of the best times to make a purchase if you happen to have a need for two Jupiter Jacks. Perhaps you and a friend could split the costs or you and your wife/husband could both get a Jupiter Jack. The special offer includes two Jupiter Jacks for the price of one, you only pay separate shipping and handling for the second Jupiter Jack. That is a $20 savings. Of course the dashboard mount is still available for purchase, just not for free.

I have heard that if you are interested in one Jupiter Jack and you call the customer service line you may be able to still get the dashboard mount for free instead of a second Jupiter Jack.

Act quickly  if you want the Jupiter Jack because this is a limited time offer!

Jupiter Jack Offers Free Dashboard Mount With Purchase

Just a quick note that for a limited time Jupiter Jack has offered a free dashboard mount with the purchase of a Jupiter Jack. During this special offer period you only pay separate shipping and handling for the dashboard mount. Normally the dashboard mount is available for purchase for a separate cost. The dashboard mount is a great accessory to get because it allows you to quickly and easily mount your Jupiter Jack and cell phone for safer and easier access while driving. If you have been thinking about getting the Jupiter Jack then this is an excellent time to make your purchase.

Usually Jupiter Jack has some type of special going on so you never know what will come next. In the past they have offered two Jupiter Jacks for the price price of one so it is possible that they may bring that offer back in the future.

Jupiter Jack Return Policy

If you are concerned about whether the Jupiter Jack will work to your liking then you are in luck. Jupiter Jack offers a 30 day money back guarantee which allows anyone and everyone to purchase it and try it out for 30 days while only risking losing the shipping and handling fee. If you are considering purchasing it and think it would work out well for you I recommend that you go for it since there is little risk involved.

The fact that Jupiter Jack offers a 30 day money back guarantee tells me that they are pretty confident that their product is of high quality and something that most people will be happy with. If they didn't feel this way they probably wouldn't be offering a 30 day money back guarantee. Remember however that if you return the product you are unlikely to receive a refund of the shipping and handling costs.

Jupiter Jack Customer Service

I have heard about some recent problems with Jupiter Jack in regards to their customer service. I can't personally speak for anything outside of my own experiences but be sure to read the comments section of this blog to get more information from other users.

Most as seen on TV products manufacturers have rightfully gotten a bad reputation for their poor customer service but Jupiter Jack customer support is a exception to this stereotype. The first thing that you will notice if you visit the Jupiter Jack website is that they have a customer service phone number that is easily accessible. This is different than other as seen on TV products manufacturers who often either make their telephone number hard to find or don't provide one at all.

I personally called Jupiter Jack in order to test out their customer service and found surprisingly good results. When I called it took less than 1 minute to get through to a representative and the person I spoke to was very nice and polite. In order to test them out I asked several questions based on information that I knew about the Jupiter Jack. The customer service representative was able to quickly answer each of my question with a correct and detailed answer. It was also very nice because the representative didn't use any high pressure sales tactics and accepted my answer immediately when I told here I still had think about whether I wanted to purchase a Jupiter Jack.

I do not have any experience with trying to return a Jupiter Jack so I can't say whether their 30 day money back guarantee offer would be easy to exercise or not but with general questions they did a very good job. From what I gathered Jupiter Jack customer service goes above and beyond what I am use to seeing from similar companies.

What Preset Frequencies Does The Jupiter Jack Work On?

The Jupiter Jack has a decent range of preset frequencies that can be used. The ranges that come standard on the Jupiter Jack include anything between 88.3-89.3 and 99.3-101.3.

Currently these are the only frequencies available which could cause problems if all of these frequencies are taken up by radio stations. If any of these are free then the Jupiter Jack should provide good reception. On the other hand, frequencies that are taken up by radio stations are not likely to work very well if at all.

We have been unable to confirm this but we have seen reports that original Jupiter Jacks only had a couple frequencies available and we are hopeful that in the future new Jupiter Jacks will potentially have an expanded set of available frequency settings.

Jupiter Jack May Work With Some MP3 Players

Being able to use your MP3 player with the Jupiter Jack is not an official feature or advertised use for the Jupiter Jack but we have see multiple Internet reports that claim that you can use your Jupiter Jack with your Ipod or MP3 player. This is actually not surprising and easy to believe because most Ipods and MP3 car kits use the same technology as the Jupiter Jack. The only concern would be whether one of the hookups for the Jupiter Jack is compatible with your MP3 player port which is high likely considering all of the different adapters the Jupiter Jack comes with.

If your MP3 player and cell phone are both compatible with the Jupiter Jack this would be a huge plus and would make your Jupiter Jack even more useful. It would also allow you to kill two birds with one stone. You would be able to buy one product and use it as an MP3 player FM transmitter, and also as a hands free set.

I do however caution each of you that this is not an advertised use of the Jupiter Jack and nobody will be able to guarantee that it will work with your MP3 player or Ipod.

Jupiter Jack Hands Free Set Problems

As we all know there are no products in the world that are 100% perfect and the Jupiter Jack is no exception. I think that the Jupiter Jack is a great product but I am also not afraid to report about the problems that it does have. When someone is trying to decide whether the Jupiter Jack is for them it is very important for them to read about potential problems. For some the problems may not be an issue at all but for others it may be enough to change their minds about whether they want the product. I don't anticipate that the problems I have listed below will deter many people from purchasing the Jupiter Jack but I feel it is important for people to know what they are getting before they spend the money and potentially have to go through the return process. Perhaps I am even doing the manufacturer a favor and turning away customers that would ultimately return the product and wouldn't have purchased it in the first place.

Jupiter Jack Problems

Privacy Concerns - If you are using your Jupiter Jack then there is always a slight risk of privacy invasion. The issue comes into play when you are talking on your Jupiter Jack and someone else is driving near you. If the people driving around you happened to have their radio tuned to the exact station that you had your Jupiter Jack set to then it is possible that they could pick up your phone call. Generally the chances of this happening are very slim because you have to tune your Jupiter Jack to a frequency that doesn't have a radio station so there is no reason that anyone else around you would have their radio set to a static filled frequency that didn't have a radio station broadcasting on it.

Jupiter Jack Use With Multiple People In Your Car - The Jupiter Jack is a great product but since it is broadcasted over your car stereo speakers you can't hold a private conversation while others are in the car with you. This isn't a design problem or flaw but just something to consider. If you usually drive alone then it shouldn't be an issue but if you are almost always driving with someone else you either won't be able to use it or won't be able to have private conversations.

Compatibility With All Cell Phones - The Jupiter Jack manufacturers claim that it can work with all cell phones but I have a hard time believing that this is true. The only reasons I say this is because they would have had to test all cell phones in order to be sure. The Jupiter Jack probably works with 99.9% of cell phones and this shouldn't be a concern when you make your purchase. Just be sure to try it within the first 30 days so you can get a refund if it happens to not work with your cell phone.

Jupiter Jack Reception Issues - In some cases people are unable to get good reception with the Jupiter Jack because there are actual radio stations broadcasting on nearly all of the preset frequencies for the FM transmitter. If this is the case you will probably have to just return your Jupiter Jack and go with a bluetooth headset instead. Most people are able to find an unused station within the large set of preset frequencies that are available. It is my hope that in the future Jupiter Jack will broaden the range of presets available so that it will give buyers more frequency options and thus eliminate reception issues.

The Jupiter Jack Guide Blog

Here at the Jupiter Jack Guide we will be providing any pertinent details pertaining to the Jupiter Jack hands free device. The Jupiter Jack is a great idea and something that all of us should consider as an option for driving while talking on our cell phones. There are certainly other devices out there that get the job done but I really like this one. This revolutionary hands free device is rather new and their might be some kinks to workout before the product is perfect but it seems to be pretty good even now.

In future posts I will go over a bunch of stuff including reviews, cost, problems, specials, and much more. If there is anything I haven't covered about it let me know through the comments because I would like this blog to be the most complete resource on the web for Jupiter Jack information. I have noticed that there isn't a lot of information out there about the Jupiter Jack but there is a demand for it.

Thanks!
