I have heard about some recent problems with Jupiter Jack in regards to their customer service. I can't personally speak for anything outside of my own experiences but be sure to read the comments section of this blog to get more information from other users.
Most as seen on TV products manufacturers have rightfully gotten a bad reputation for their poor customer service but Jupiter Jack customer support is a exception to this stereotype. The first thing that you will notice if you visit the Jupiter Jack website is that they have a customer service phone number that is easily accessible. This is different than other as seen on TV products manufacturers who often either make their telephone number hard to find or don't provide one at all.
I personally called Jupiter Jack in order to test out their customer service and found surprisingly good results. When I called it took less than 1 minute to get through to a representative and the person I spoke to was very nice and polite. In order to test them out I asked several questions based on information that I knew about the Jupiter Jack. The customer service representative was able to quickly answer each of my question with a correct and detailed answer. It was also very nice because the representative didn't use any high pressure sales tactics and accepted my answer immediately when I told here I still had think about whether I wanted to purchase a Jupiter Jack.
I do not have any experience with trying to return a Jupiter Jack so I can't say whether their 30 day money back guarantee offer would be easy to exercise or not but with general questions they did a very good job. From what I gathered Jupiter Jack customer service goes above and beyond what I am use to seeing from similar companies.

What Preset Frequencies Does The Jupiter Jack Work On?
The Jupiter Jack has a decent range of preset frequencies that can be used. The ranges that come standard on the Jupiter Jack include anything between 88.3-89.3 and 99.3-101.3.
Currently these are the only frequencies available which could cause problems if all of these frequencies are taken up by radio stations. If any of these are free then the Jupiter Jack should provide good reception. On the other hand, frequencies that are taken up by radio stations are not likely to work very well if at all.
We have been unable to confirm this but we have seen reports that original Jupiter Jacks only had a couple frequencies available and we are hopeful that in the future new Jupiter Jacks will potentially have an expanded set of available frequency settings.

Jupiter Jack May Work With Some MP3 Players
Being able to use your MP3 player with the Jupiter Jack is not an official feature or advertised use for the Jupiter Jack but we have see multiple Internet reports that claim that you can use your Jupiter Jack with your Ipod or MP3 player. This is actually not surprising and easy to believe because most Ipods and MP3 car kits use the same technology as the Jupiter Jack. The only concern would be whether one of the hookups for the Jupiter Jack is compatible with your MP3 player port which is high likely considering all of the different adapters the Jupiter Jack comes with.
If your MP3 player and cell phone are both compatible with the Jupiter Jack this would be a huge plus and would make your Jupiter Jack even more useful. It would also allow you to kill two birds with one stone. You would be able to buy one product and use it as an MP3 player FM transmitter, and also as a hands free set.
I do however caution each of you that this is not an advertised use of the Jupiter Jack and nobody will be able to guarantee that it will work with your MP3 player or Ipod.
